Hello all,
I can't get my setup to work. Here is what I have:
Dish network satellite with VIP722K DVR receiver. Connected cable that goes to second TV in the house to a Avermedia M792 TV card in my PC. I am not getting anything on a channel scan. Put a small tv beside my pc and connected the cable to it and it works good, but then connect it to the TV card and get nothing.
Am I missing something? Will this card not work or do I have it set up wrong?

Hi and a warm welcome to you kbond29!

What kind of cable are you using to connect the STB? Coax (aerial cable), s-video, composite, component...
If anything other than coax then you need to use the "add s-video inputs" button in the scanning section to create your channels because you can't scan for channels on [for example] an s-video input. If you're using coax then please post your logs using the watchdog:

1. Find the "debug mode" link in the "Team MediaPortal" folder in your start menu and start it.
2. Select option 3 "export all currently present logs".
3. Click "proceed". This will trigger the watchdog to create a zip file on your desktop.
4. Post the zip file here. There are more detailed instructions for this in the watchdog link above.
