Hi, I'm big fan of the Ned guy inside the British production "Balls of Steel" and likewise him I'll keep it simple.

I want help with two things.
1. How to open VLC using Mediaportal.
2. How to install & use MyPrograms inside MediaPortal.

What I'm meaning by that is; I to launch the external media player VLC (VideoLAN) every time I open a movie/series inside MP.

Next I like to get a concise description on how to make the plug-in MyPrograms work inside MP. Install, configure, set-up, etc.. the whole sha-bang.

I be very happy if someone can help with either of the problems.

Thanks in advance, and also congratulations to the MP team for making one of the best Multi-Media Center ever. :D

I think you'll find plenty of information on using vlc as an external player with mp if you search the forums.

I believe your right. I did find a great help using DaMaster's guide and by using that got the first problem outta the way. Now, I'm just having problem with MyPrograms. And also worth mention; I've found and used the following link for downloading the plug-in. But when I tries to open it I get an error message.

Link to MyPrograms (Which don't seems to work):
MEDIAPORTAL - free media center - My Programs (MPI)

You mind posting a link as to what information you found under DaMaster's guide? I haven't been able to find much help using VLC to open DVD folders using the DVD structure, not ISO's, or AVI's. I have VLC working with MediaPortal using AVI's, but not my ripped DVD's.

    Thanks for any help.
