Help upgrading to version 2.1 (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I want to upgrade to t-he feature release 2.1.0, but e -installer says I hav to uninstall my existing version. Will this remove all of my cusomisations such as the IBDB details onmy videos etc...

Is there a linkto an upgrade guide?

upgrade from which version?

You won't loose your configuration by uninstalling the old version. The MediaPortal folder will be kept with setting files and databases.

You can then install 0.2.1.0 over these settings.

Importand 1: Run Configure after installation of MP 0.2.1.0 before running MP again.

Importand 2: This is not recommended! It works in most cases, but if any strange behaviour occurs make a clean install (deleting MediaPortal folder after uninstall) before posting any problems in the forums.

I did an upgrade from 0.2.0.4 to 0.2.1.0 and I can confirm it works as Flip said.
