Synopsis: Video freezes
-----------------------------------------------------------------

No matter which codec I use or which mediatype. When watching movies the video suddenly freeezes. This could happen after just some minutes or an hour.
I can hear the "click" noise when hitting a key, but the screen does not react. the still picture is displayed.
When using VNC to remotly connect I can call the task manager and kill MP.. normally then the desktop appears. Restart of MP is possible but it complains that the rendering device is not available (see above).
So I asume it is something with DirectX. I checked several drivers for my video card, changed memory modules..
Dont know what to do else..

The way it freeezes seem to me like a hardware issue.. something in the commuication gets corrupted and the video system freeees..

Anyone an idea? Please...

Which version of RC4 are you using, also will video play ok in WMPlayer, if ok in WMP then it is not a hardware problem.
I know there have been reports of freezing after playing multiple videos but do not know if that has been fixed yet, but as I cannot find it in mantis, hopefully it has been, so try a newer svn.
