Help with DVD/CD (1 Viewer)

Just installed a plextor PX-608AL DVD-drive in my mediaplayer and I have some questions regarding;

1. Is it possible to fix the speed so the drive doesnt spin up. Just like a normal standalone DVD-player?

2. Can Mediaportal be set so if there are any disc (DVD or music-CD) in the drive, it will start to play
If the arent any disc in the drive it should not start up?

3. Can My DVD also play other files on a disc automatic, such as WMV, DivX, pictures, MP3 etc.?

4. What would be the best codecs for DVD? For My Videos im using FFDshow and CoreAVC.

Im running XP SP2 and MP 0.2.3.0.

Found the autostart plugin. But not sure how I instal it. It says just copy the autostart.dll in the plugin folder, and then configure via MP configuration. But it aint avalible.

Via MP i have configured the DVD-drive to autostart when a disc is inserted. But I would like the disc to when MP is loaded.

Look in MP Configuration; General; CD/DVD Speed

Thanks. It stills spin up. Any solution to that?
Havent fixed the autostart either.

When I have an audio-cd in the DVD-drive. I cant start that with My DVD, it will only play DVD´s.
Can My DVD be configured to play any files from the drive?
