So, I've just come across mediaportal and it looks awesome. I live in Japan and setting up a PVR is a bit difficult. I can get Media Center 7 working fine. I get all the right channels and I can record without a problem. The only thing is playready is keeping me from converting or burning the programs I am recording! Almost everything broadcast in Japan has the DRM flag.
I can install mediaportal 1.1 beta with Windows 7 ultimate. The install goes fine, even installing MsSQL 2008 isn't a problem. I get a list of my two dvb tuners, dvb-s and dvb-t. When I try to scan the frequencies I get nothing.

As far as I can tell those are the frequencies that are required for TV in Japan.
What I'm wondering is, is there a way to use the MC7 configuration to configure mediaportal? Or are there some files I can look through to get the config data that MC7 is using?
Hopefully this is understandable and not too confusing. Any help would be great!
