Hi there, I have posted about this problem before, but it was within the SAF thread and quickly got lost (and I have some more info which might help diagnosis).

I have got AnyDVD HD on my PC and am trying to watch the .m2ts file on the MP internal player directly from the blueray disk using AnyDVD HD's decryption on the fly (but without success).

When I press play, it plays momentarily (literally the first frame) and then stops.

By means of diagnosis - if I double click on the file it will play without any problem within MPC-HC.

If I open Graphstudio and then drag and drop the file from the STREAM directory on the blueray from My Computer into the Graphstudio window it immediately shows the filters etc in the Graphstudio (attached to this post). However, when I click play, it does the same as MP (it just shows the first frame) and then the play icon becomes available again. If I click play 2 more times, it then plays.

This sequence of events are repeatable within Graphstudio (i.e. click on play 3 times (in quick succession) and it plays, but will not on the first two clicks). I suspect this is why it is not playing in mediaportal, but can not work out how to fix it.

    Can anyone help PLEASE!!!

The obvious first thing is that you have the ffdshow DXVA codec configured for playout. MPC-HC will be using the MPC codec. It's called SAF 5 experimental for a reason afterall.

Try the MPC codec or SAF 4.

    Fair point.

I have the same problem with SAF 4 as well. I will install SAF 4 tonight (if I have time) and repeat the process and post back.

    Thanks so far.

I have tried SAF 4 stable and if I drag and drop the file into Graphstudio it loads a different graph, but instead of not playing until the third attempt, if just doesn't play at all. It just shows a black screen (I assume the first frame of the film).

    Any ideas?
