I have a large DVD collection, which I have finally added to this great problem. I have run into some problem though, since some of the DVD's isn't recoknized when inserted so it's impossible to add them. Is there a fix to this or perhaps a possibility to manually import something it doesn't see?

Also I have acidently deleted 2 of my already imported movies, which it doesn't see anymore when I insert the movie in the DVD drive. Is there any solution to this.

Thanks for this excellent plugin.

first of, if there is a problem, debug logs will tell the developers more then just you're post. So please post them as well. When you're unsure of how to set mediaportal to debug loglevel, please post.

You can import manually by using the pencil icon on the importer tab. Also, when you delete a movie from the database, it's set to ignore in the plugin. (changes are the files are still there and automatically imported next time -> ignoring is set)
You can unignore all files (no distinction between files, just all) from the importer tab in the configuration of MoPi. It's the gear icon.

Try importing these DVDs using the configuration screen instead of the GUI.
What isn't recognized should still be showing up in the list and you can then match it with the correct movie, enter a new search string or manually insert the movie using a custom name.

Like marvenius explained a movie, when deleted, is added to the ignore list. To bring back these ignores files you have to un-ignore them.

I just want to jump in, because i have almost the same question. What are the fields, where movingpictures look to download the movie info from the web? The title, how the folder is named? Or something in the files? If so, what file i have to look in and change the title?

I want to change from MyFilms to that fantastic plugin, because i like it very much.

What is the text-format i have to save my files on HDD to get the nearest hit? For example, one of the movies that is not found is "Chuck & Larry". I imported it automatically like "CHUCK_N_LARRY" and nothing is found. So i think i have to rename some of my movies right now, to become a 100% match.

Hope, you know what my problem is.....

    thanks... chris

I always name my movies like they are named on ofdb. For most of the movies this works perfectly. If you got one movie that can't be found (I had the problem with "XIII") you can always manually assign the file and put the imdb-ID in moviemanager --> movie details --> imdb-ID. After that just hit button "reload movie details" and everything is fine.

Will that also work eventhough the movies doesn't even show up with anything in the importer section in configuration window when I insert the DVD?

If nothing shows up in the importer tab, it will be difficult?
