Help with yousee scrambled (danish provider) (1 Viewer)

got yousee and a dvb-c wintv haupenpage tuner and I can find alot of channels without any problems, but some like disney and discovery it says scrambled, even though I have payed for them and can watch then on the normal tv

The signal from yousee should be uncoded now right so no need for cam? maybe I need to put in a region code somewhere like I do on my tv box?

what's the problem please help out a newbie

I have exactly the same problem (also getting my signal from YouSee), and hope there is a solution for it.

I think I know what your problem is.
Yousee sends some channels on different freq. (muxes), some are free (unscrambled) and some are scrambled.
If you see in server-config, you can probably see the different freq. on these channels.
The problem is that Mediaportal locks on to the first (or the last don´t remember) freq. but this is maybe the scrambled.
You have to delete the channel and scan manually on the right freq.
I am at work now so I can´t give you the freq. And it may not be the same as mine (live in Nyborg).

Unscrambled Discovery in Nyborg is freq. 698000

Since I don't have a subscription card for yousee anymore but only watch the not encrypted channels, I solved it by scanning one frequency at a time, and then deleting all encrypted channels between each frequency search.

How do you do this?

I run MediaPortal 1.0.2 with a TechnoTrend 1501 DVB-C card.
I have YouSee Cable in Copenhagen (Glostrup) and have access to the "free digital mirror".

In TV-Server Config I have the following settings:
Denmark TDC
Frequency: 370000 (this should provide DR1, DR2, DR Update and TV2 and a few others...)
Modulation: 64QAM
Symbol Rate: 6875

If I click on the button "Manual Scan", I only end up with about 8 channels from 143000.
If I click "Scan predefined provider" I get a lot of channels, but unfortunately I can't watch channels like Kanal 5 because MP tells me it is scrambled.

I am sure this is just a simple problem, I just can't figure out how to find the channels so I can actually watch them.
If anybody could please provide a step-by-step example on how I solve this issue, I wuld be eternally grateful

Never mind, found a way to fix it.
If anybody else run into the same problem, here is how I fixed it:
Edit the file for Denmark TDC DVB-C and disable the frequencies that mess up - and add the frequencies you miss.
After doing a full scan most channels were found (and working).
A few channels had to be entered manually, but this fixed the issue for me.

I am not at my MediaPortal computer right now. But, as far as I remember, the file is available from the same place you select 'Scan predefined provider'. If it is not available directly from there, I think you can search your computer for the file. It has been a while since I did it, but it was not that complicated

I think the worst part was actually to get hold of the correct frequencies. I will see if I can post a copy of my file here, when I get back home. Please note, that the frequencies might not be the same for you!
