hi, can I play a movie from its icon? (1 Viewer)

well...here's the funny thing...when i press P on the folder it doesn't play the movie, it opens the folder :( so I gotta then select the first file to play...

im pretty sure there's a configuration issue with mine.... weird.

    Don't have anything to test with at the moment. but hazarding a guess..
    1. MPconfig > Video > Database has an option "Folder name for title", that might help.
    2. Sounds like you need to switch from Shares view to Title view.

    DVD folder rips needs to have VIDEO_TS subfolder and inside must be a file VIDEO_TS.IFO otherwise MP will not recognize them.

    So for example:

    Avatar (2009)\VIDEO_TS\
    and inside VIDEO_TS must be a file VIDEO_TS.IFO (is a configuration file that defines the disc structure and also includes region coding information. )

    hey, just checking in to say thanks again. Got my initial problems sorted. working on plug-ins now. MediaPortal and the support on these forums is brilliant. Thanks
