hi, can I play a movie from its icon? (1 Viewer)

well...here's the funny thing...when i press P on the folder it doesn't play the movie, it opens the folder so I gotta then select the first file to play...

im pretty sure there's a configuration issue with mine.... weird.

Don't have anything to test with at the moment. but hazarding a guess..
1. MPconfig > Video > Database has an option "Folder name for title", that might help.
2. Sounds like you need to switch from Shares view to Title view.

Or have a look at the Moving Pictures plugin. Especially if you add the IMDB+ plugin, I think you should get a very good result. Of course, I am a bit biased since I don't use the standard Videos plugin anymore.

DVD folder rips needs to have VIDEO_TS subfolder and inside must be a file VIDEO_TS.IFO otherwise MP will not recognize them.

So for example:

Avatar (2009)\VIDEO_TS\
and inside VIDEO_TS must be a file VIDEO_TS.IFO (is a configuration file that defines the disc structure and also includes region coding information. )
