Hi DVB-C question UK (1 Viewer)

Hi

I have just put on media portal as i want a HTPC that will work with DVBC

Im in a pure ntl area and noticed that there is not a file for this.

I have given editing a folder and put some working transponders into this and scanned with no luck

has there been a file made for pure ntl or a guide on how to scan for the channels

heres mine i,m virgin was ntl pure but if it does not work your maybe a different area

Have just got BBC1 to work but was ununsure how to get the others, will let you know how i get on.

Are there other files i may need?

i just put that file in "Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Tuningparameters" folder
then on the scan page in tv3 options choose virgin in drop down bar then click scan predefined provider button
it will take a while but find a couple of hundred channels

Thank you SO SO Much!!! I couldnt get any channels to come up on my new DVBC card on NTL Ireland. was at it for about 8 hours last night and gave up at 2am

But i just remoted in home to my media centre pc from work (cos I cant do any work til i know its working!!) and used your file as a base and it started picking up channels!! got about 40 or 50. THat means it works so im happy, i can sort out the little details later. Thanks again man

Just wondering what type of cards you guys are all using?

Plus, does the epg work?

It's just my DVB-T signal is crap and I can't be arsed putting a new aerial up...
