Hi, I have the following (older) system

model = HP xw6000
cpu = dual zeon 2.8ghz,
ram = 2 x 1gb 333 ddr1 ecc
board = hp (on board scsi/ide, ddr1 ram support, agp/pci)
graphics = old pci graphics
mediaportal = 1.02

Anyone know of any AGP graphics cards (or any other upgrade) that would give this system HDTV playback potential?

Thanks

I was using a AGP8X Nvidia 6200 @720p via a DVI<->HDMI for awhile with no problems, have since upgraded my mobo to PCI-e
hope it helps

    Your best bet is an ATI cards with Universal Video Decoder (UVD) or an nVidia card with PureVideo HD

    theres a list >here< of AGP cards with Purevideo HD

    ATI cards with Purevideo HD are easy to spot because they have the "HD" prefix. On the low end, the HD 2400/2600 are a safe bet, and retail from >$70AU<. UVD was revamped in the 4 series, with improved H.264/MPEG-4 decoding. The only AGP 4 series is the >4650<, which is $159AU.
