Hi Guys,
This might be considered a little off topic - it's to do with the connection from my PC to my TV so I'm hoping someone might be able to offer some advice.
My TV (LG 60" LCD rear projector: MW-60SZ12) has DVI input which I am currently using but it only supports 1080i through the component interface - in fact it only really supports widescreen modes through component - the supported modes through the DVI interface are more PC-centric than video focused.
So... I'd really like to get a PC connected to the TV through the component input - at least to test 1080i. So here's the fun; I went out and get a VGA to Component cable from my local shop but I can't get a PC successfully talking to the TV through the component interface.
I've tried two different PCs (and therefore two different video cards) but the very best I've been able to acheive is a picture that has colours all wrong and aspect ratios not matching.
I've installed powerstrip on both PCs and tried all the pre-set 1080i configurations (and the 720p ones as well). In most of them the TV either says "no signal" or "out of range" but a few of them give me a picture that has the wrong aspect ratio and colours.
Any ideas??? Am I missing something obvious?? (I hope so!!)
Thanks heaps for any help.
