With the USB tuners that are explicitly HOT PLUG (sit in systray as Unplug or Eject) from my undrstanding they are not fully initialised at driver level but need to be initialised at application level.

How is the TVSERVER dealing wiht this.

There is also a difference with how the OS actions this aswell, VISTA and XPsp2 are different to XPsp1 and w2ksp4.

From my testing with some newer TWINHAN USB2 tuners is that the TVSERVER fails to initialise the tuner. ie no signal is being produced.

Other TV applications like cyberlink dvb (a bundled app with tuners) have no problem initialising the tuners and once initialised they remain so (until a cold reboot or the USB is 'safely removed' ) which in turn means that the TVSERVER can then access them without problems.

Any help on this or where to look for help would be appreciated.

17195 Dman has added a delay change for the TVServer on resume, hopefully this may get my T500 working.

Waiting for some video conversions to finish, so i can test in xp rather than Vista

    Tested on VISTA 32.

VISTA MC iniitializes tuner without problems.

MediaPortal Tvserver builds graph fine but fails to inititalise tuner so there is NO signal.

Run MP after MCE and then no problems as the HOT PLUG tuner has been NOW initialised correctly.

Deduce TVServer has an Odd bug where it fails to initialize tuner on HOT PLUG USB devices.

SVN 17231 seems to have fixed this problem.

Will test more tomorrow and if good post as fixed.

Were there any changes in the code to cover this bug?
