How can PV-BT878P+ be found? (1 Viewer)

People, please, help me out here: I have a PlayTV PV-BT878P+ capture card and tried to add it with the television configuration wizard, but it said: "no video capture card were found". The problem is that THERE IS a cature card installed and it works well with Show Shifter and DScale (even better). Now, what's going on? I red somewhere that DScale could work WITH Media Portal, but I didn't found out how! Please, help this dummy with his problem... thanx!

Have you done whats suggested in the How to get my Software Encoding card... thread? You need other things such as a software mpeg2 encoder.

Is the PV-BT878P supported?

I have an old analouge Pixelview card I could add and get Prime I guess?

Managed to get it recognised once I installed the Play TV drivers. Scanning though didn't find any channels. This may be because my anaoluge reception is so bad where I am and I am pointed towards the Sky Tower and Remuera.

PC tuners, especially older one have a very low reception threshold, so any weak signal that you may experience on a normal tv set is amplified greatly on a pc tuner, ie it is a lot worse.
