Out of curiosity and to learn I was hoping that you guys could help out and answere how you find this site/software.

I am sure that many of us take the opportunity to talk about Media Portal and it would be nice to know how you found us :)

In my case it was someone that mentioned the project in a forum and listing several links to HTPC applications... and here I am :)

I found it through the XBMC forum, where it was announced.
:)

PS. MrMario64 you didn't find it, you invented it remember? :-D

So did I (I was surprised this wasn't one of the options to choose from).

Yeah I missed that, I was actually sure I had that in there but somehow... well I was to tired :)

    I heard about a new project frodo was working on from #xbmc EFNET

    starting to get really pissed by TVCentral <grin>, I started googling for "htpc open source", found a lot of no-no-software and finally found my new home here with you guys..... :D

    So "mentioned in a forum" is the closest match!

    I have found MP on the sourceforge's website , searching for "multimedia"
    and I found this cooooooooooolllllll software there !
