Has anyone gotten real HD material to play with MP's built in player without using an External player?
When I say real HD, I mean pure hd dvd or bluray rips and not those downconverted .mkv stuff (1080p > 720p)
If someone has been successful, please tell us how you got it done: include system specs, codec, name of Priest who blessed your machine, etc.

Also, when will mp developers update the integrated player to support HD? Personally I think a bit too much time is spent on the TV/DVR portion of Mp and the rest of the other stuff get ignored. Example, why don't we have a built in search for internet radio. We have to exit mp and go into setup to add internet radio stations. Why?

There is a interesting thread about the br/hd dvd implementation and why its not that easy to do.
Things like AACS and the navigation filters etc etc, have a look at the search button.
( On the other hand, your system will never ever play this content )

I player 1080p and 720p ts, avi and mkv files and it works fine.
Would like to buy a hddvd/br combo drive and use it with mp - but for now not possible.

And i think a solid running tv/dvr part is much more important to most users then a internet radio search button,
even this would be a nice feature.
