I've been trying for ages to work out how to get the listings for radio channels. Is it possible? If so, how do you do it?

I'm using MP 0.2.3 RC2 with the standard TV server that comes with it.

Maybe your provider doesn't transmit any EPG data on radio-channels. But since you don't provide ANY information on your system nobody could possibly tell you...

I didn't bother putting system information down because I didn't think it was relevant for this issue.

I've configured EPG for the TV but thought there was a similar process for the radio. Or are you implying that the radio guide sets itself up?

Maybe somebody living in your area could help if you filled out the "Satelite/CableTV Provider:" field. As I said earlier it is possible that your provider doesn't broadcast EPG data for radio at all...

I also could not know that you're not using the TV-Server. I don't remember any option to pull EPG data for radio in TVE2 at all. However there is a separate option for this in the TV-Server.

You see there is some relevance in providing system information ;)

OK, thanks anyway. I'm not good enough to attempt to use the TVE3. Think I'll wait until it's finished with testing!

As for my provider... I'm using UK Freeview.

I also have never used a set-top box with MP, but I think that you need to use an IR emitter (aka "IR blaster"). The IRSS software controls the emitter, and transmits IR signals under the direction of MP. The IR signal is received by the IR receiver within the set-top box, and so can be used to change channel and so on. The set-top...

When I tested MP 2.5 some months ago using TVE3.5, I found that "scan for channels" failed to find any channels when I selected a DVB-T2 tuner (a TBS 6284) :(, but succeeded when I used a DVB-T tuner (a Pinnacle 2000i) :). Obviously the Pinnacle found only those channels broadcast in DVB-T MUXes (in the UK we have both DVB-T MUXes and...
