How does scheduler wake the PC!? (1 Viewer)

As a developer, this is an area I've never touched on and I'm curious to know how it's done - i.e. how does the software set the PC to wake from hibernate at a certain time - and can it work with Suspend (some forum entries seem to suggest that it's not always successful). Can any of you guys enlighten me!?
