How popular are LRC lyrics? (1 Viewer)

Just wondering how common it is to find LRC files generally.

Of my 8600 ish songs, my lyrics only seems to find lyrics for about 10% of them.

Also when doing a batch scan it say next to last activity, "Artist" - "song title" Has a match at Lrc finder. then seems to add it to the Lyrics not found count anyway.

And sometimes it seems to pause on some songs for a while and during this time the lyrics not found count is still going up quite rapidly.

Am I doing something wrong or are LRC files just generally not that common?

I got a bit ahead of myself.

During the batch scan with LRC mode ticked, it was getting about a 10% found to not found ratio but when I clicked Database (LRC only) it had only actually found LRC files for 4 songs out of the 8600 i have

When doing a batch scan with Lyrics mode ticked it found about 7000 of the 8600 standard lyric files.

Will try and add to the LRCFinder database by doing my favourite albums when I can.

Is there a way I can make MyLyrics go to Standard text lyrics by default rather than LRC?
since I have no songs with LRC files I have to keep switching to text lyrics manually by right clicking my mouse and selecting from the menu, since im loosing the mouse next week for a remote and pushing the F key on keyboard opens my tv instead of switching lyric types be good to veiw text lyrics by default.

I'm not happy with the batch mode search and it is for various reasons not as stable as I could wish. E.g. sometimes LRCFinder is overburdened and simple returns it call which most likely is what you experience. I kind of regret ever implemented the batch mode search. So don't expect wonders doing a batch search.

The LRC is created by ordinary music lovers as you and me. A 10% hit rate is pretty good and you shouldn't much better since LRCs simple don't exist for many songs. You can create your own LRC's using MyLyrics and share them with the MP community.

Ok I will try to search album by album and see if that gives better results.

Also just used the LRC editor to do one song and its very easy so will do songs from my database and add them as and when I can.
