Hi i have been using MCE 2005 for a while and i tried MP and found it to be 10 times better. It is all working great but i am not sure how to configure it to change channels on my digital box.
I am in the uk and its a sky digital sattelite box.

I am using mce remote and it works fine in MP, i just need to know how i can change channels through the IR blaster with the MC remote infra red box.

I have been doing it in MCE but not sure if it can be done in MP, i have a IR Blaster setup on the digi box.

if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

update

ok i have read alot of the posts, i have downloaded and installed myblaster. i have managed to get it working with my dtb remote, so the blaster is flashing and changing channels on the box.

only problem now is that it doesn't change when i press the numbers on the mce remote? do i have to configure this somehow aswell...

basically it isnt working within MP, but if i click test in my blaster it works fine.

Have you configured the channels as external in the MP TV setup? If you have then you'll be getting the channels through ok.
Then, I *think* you have to configure the remote and the externals in the MP config remote section.

I've never had to do this though, so I could be wildly wrong. Don't worry though, someone else will be along soon to lend a hand :)

ok i have configured the channels as external, thanks for pointing that out.
my stb is connected via aerial cable to tv card, what do i set in external tab. there is only svhs, cvbs 1 and 2, rgb and svid.

it still doesn't work in MP though.

Correct me if I am wrong but it would appear from your post that you are bringing the RF from the STB into your PC on a fixed channel. MP does not appear to support that.

From what I have read you will need to bring the A/V into the htpc either using component, SVHS, or A/V inputs. That is to say make a new hareware connection from your STB to an AV input on your tuner card using appropriate cables.
