How to detect if Teletext is active? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm trying to develop a simple remote control plugin. I'd like to use the red, green, yellow and blue buttons as function keys but I also want to use them in teletext... Therefore I need to figure a way of detecting if teletext is active so I can map it to the colour buttons, or if it is inactive so I can use them as function keys. Any Idea how I can manage to do so?
