How to get green button to work in Media POrtal 2? Also set top box (1 Viewer)

I am trying to configure Media Portal 2.

My pc is running Windows 7 pro. My video recording card is WinTV HVR-1850



I am a total novice to Media Portal 2



1.) When I press the green button on my WMC remote, Media Center starts, not Media Portal 2

I have reviewed the information on this link:

This link does NOT tell me how to get to configuration.

The settings button in Media Portal 2 does not look like anything in the link above.


How do I get the green button to work in Media Portal 2 ?



2.) I have a set top box. What are the steps needed to get Media Portal 2 to work with a set top box?

As long as the Media Center services are running you can not use the green button to start MP2. You need to disable them or uninstall MediaCenter.

This link is for configuration of MediaPortal1 that is the older version of MediaPortal and a completely different product. Excerpt for some parts regarding the TV Engine there is nothing similar on both...

How do I get the green button to work in Media Portal 2 ?

It is working automatically without the need to configure anything. Only the Windows MediaCenter services should not run.
