how to hide cable box guide and channel info

I have the remote and IR blaster working with my cable box, however, when I change the channel I see comcast's channel info behind Media Portal's channel info. Is there any way to prevent this?

you can find infor for this in our Wiki. I've no experience with Comcast, but basically the EPG setup is similar for any kind of channels. For cable and satelite the EPG is mostly delivered directly by the provider. Alternatively you can use xml based sources. I use for example the EPGBuddy, which is also mentioned in the WIKI.

MP1 MP2 [solved] major issues with DVB-T channel change after upgrading to MP 1.34 DE

thank you Sir, issue is definitely resolved now, i uninstalled the problematic MSE altogether, plus i also now have optimized EPG grabbing configuration, thanks again for all the assistance, wow so much faster on everything now that MSE is out of the picture...MP WAF is now restored and FetchTV STB sits in the corner collecting dust :)
