how to insert DVD datas, covers.. - without link (1 Viewer)

Hi i have a huge collection of DVD's and want to look at my collection in mp.

How do i get all the datas, covers, backdrops ?

In Moving pictures I have to insert every dvd and then I get the informations but that takes days.

Is there any other option...

I DON'T WANT THAT IF I CLICK ON IT THE DVD STARTS...I JUST WANT THE COVERS AND THE PLOT ETC.

I had the same question this week.

Sinds 1,5 year I use a self written program in .net to organise my DVD's. I made a short video file with the text 'Please insert DVD' and I've written a short code to copy this video and rename it each time to a title of my movies.

So now MediaPortal sees these movies and downloads all information from it. Works perfect. And when I select a movie, I get the text that I need to insert the DVD.

in attachment, the code of my script en the video file.
This is just a part of my code, so I don't know if you can something with it:
It creates single files for all movies that ar listed in ListBox1

thx had the same idea, made also a 500kb movie file with the text insert dvd and works great. thx anyway...btw great dummy-video...mine is not that good but works

Great idea. I might write a program to make this a bit more streamline. I will let you know when this is done.

Okay, here is my little program which you can simply list the Movie Name and Years and get it to copy the "Insert DVD" Video File to create a dummy file for the Video.

Let me know if you have any problems, really it is just a quick program I have done for myself.
