Hi, everytime my computer awakes for scheduled recordings, the monitor awake too and does not switch of during the whole recording.
I can switch of MP during the recording manually - than the monitor would switch of too.
Is there a setting in MP to not even start the monitor for the recording? I had the same problem already with the last Versions of MP but I guess it was different some years ago with another motherboard. Do you have the same problem? Is there a way to solve it?

"Away Mode" is your friend here it allows the PC to wake up and perform tasks such as recordings without enabling video to the monitor/TV. If your PC supports "Away Mode" and it is enabled (Google it for more info.) you should check the settings in Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings\Change Advanced Settings (for your active plan) and make sure the setting is as highlighted in the screenshot below. Also make sure the Power Scheduler plugin in the MP TV Server Config. is set the same.

If you want to do a quick check to see if Away Mode is possible and working on your setup, change the settings as shown below. The video to the monitor should shut down after 1 minute if the PC is idle without the PC itself going into standby.

Many thanks for your fast and very good description!:)
With the Away mode settings, the monitor switch on for recording and switch of according the "display time setting" during the recording.
That´s already the first step forward!
Unfortunately the display switch of during normal music listening too, thats why I had this setting to "never" before.

Does your Monitor keep asleep when the recording starts?
What setting do you have at the power scheduler?

    This is my setting...

It finally works now with your hints!! :D:whistle:(y) - Thanks a lot! The Monitor does not awake anymore for the timer recording!
I´m not sure what finally caused the problem, but I guess because my "Put the computer into sleep" setting was "never" before...

Good to hear you got it working.(y)
I have attached a screenshot of my Power Scheduler settings and, yes my TV does stay off when a scheduled recording starts.
Regarding the monitor sleeping when playing music, if the screensaver option is set in your MP skin settings try disabling it, I have a vague recollection it may get triggered when music is playing in some circumstances.
