MediaPortal Version: 1.1 Beta
Windows Version: Vista Ultimate SP1
Hey!
I want to simply compress my recorded tv files, and have the user experience remain the same. (obviously, with slightly lower video quality).
I've managed to get handbrake to encode the H.264 originals, and MediaPortal will play the subsequent mp4 (or m4v/mkv whatever) files. (had to install Haali splitter)
However, I can only watch these compressed files by exitting out of My TV, and entering My Videos... which is a pain in the neck!
I've tried simply changing the extension from .mp4 to .ts, which is enough to get the files imported into the db, but then MP won't play them (not too surprising).
So... Is there any way to play non .ts files in "Recorded TV" in MediaPortal?
Thanks in advance!
