G'Day mate. I had the same problem. The solution is not really within the manual :( Making some assumptions: You're on a single-seat setup and the problem is actually that you're missing the 'TV-Server' side of MP. ....Do you remember back when you were first installing MediaPortal it asked some questions of you, most important of which was "Will you be using Media Portal to watch live TV?", at that stage without a TV-card you probably selected "no". Do a re-install of MediaPortal and don't worry about un-installing first. Just install over the top. Also the installation wizard doesn't really articulate the fact that it will not wipe your MediaPortal settings and re-install a fresh-default one over the top. In fact I remember it was a bit of a scary install as it kinda suggests that it will re-install the whole thing... not the case. Simply grow the required balls to click next and install it again :) It will ask you the above important TV question, sus-out that you've already got MP installed and therefore only install the TV-Server bit, leaving all your important settings intact :) Please note that the above is my experience only and I was installing the same version of MP over the top, not a different, newer version. If you no longer have the original install executable and need to re-download then my experience above is only valid for the same version... scratch that, it's only valid for MP 1.0.2.. basically if you loose all your shit then I'm sorry. P.S: I had mad problems with my single seat setup and have since moved to a server/client setup. I don't have the expertise to pinpoint what all my problems were, my system logs were pretty bad (in other words, not MP's fault). Good luck, let us know
