How to tag AC/DC tracks correctly so they work with audioscrobbler? (1 Viewer)

I have my AC/DC tracks tagged as AC/DC in the artist and album artist tags, but this seems to not work with audioscrobbler as it seems to go looking for AC_DC and returns the default red last.fm image.

Yes please - maybe move your music database somewhere for backup and scan the ac/dc folder only after writing v2.4 tags.

...and indeed the two jpg files mentioned are created, but they are of course the "invalid tag" images.

Actually, while I have you, couple of other problems I've noticed (been doing a fair bit of bulk tagging and audiscrobbling of late).

1. Cannot cancel a rescan for artists or albums in the plugin. Have to wait for it to complete.
2. While scanning some very weird things happen to my display if the screen saver activates. The screen kepps blanking every few seconds until the rescan completes.
3. Sometimes, audioscrobbler says it has downloaded an artist, but the file is never created, despite what the log says. The file mentioned in the log below is never created. Maybe MP doesn't like Kenny Rogers but there are a few other examples of this.

MP has a special handling just for AC/DC - I'll check what happens here.

I'm experiencing the same. Doesn't find anything for AC/DC, while tags are perfectly fine.

Was hoping this might have been resolved with 1.1.0, but still have the same problem. Can't work out how to tag AC/DC tracks so that they work with audioscrobbler. Not only do I not get the artist thumb, but the dynamic playlist won't work either.

Also have the same problem with REM. Neither REM nor R.E.M. work

Hi,

Have the same problem with AC/DC, REM, Grip Inc. ...
The problem appears only with artist tag.
To make the pictures work, I've manually replaced the files (eg : ac_dc.jpg)

It seems that "/" and "." are not understood by the scrobbler.

On last.fm and musicbrainz.org the names "AC/DC", "R.E.M." , "Grip Inc." are correct
