How to tell if TV Server is recording? (1 Viewer)

Is there a way to prevent accidental computer switch off while the TV Server is recording?

Is there any way at all to determine if the TV Server is recording?

eg. instead of using the regular off commands on the computer (off/hibernate/stanby) I could initiate the stanby with a batch script. This script could check if the TV server is actually recording at the very moment and wait until it finishes...

(GBPVR has some pro and post process scripts, which enable similar behaviour.)

Any help is great help.

The server monitor is not (yet) available on Windows 7, it seems it has some problems starting up.

Stanby watcher seems to rely on remote buttons, especially on htpc-s. I use a desktop computer and switch off manually - so Idon't think it could be used.

I'll find out something, thanks for looking into this thread.

Hi gkovacsp,

have a look at gmps and let it activate away mode. then you will not need to check the record-status anymore. just press your "off" button and gmps will do the rest for you.
