Hello,

I can't record TV to my NAS share, it's correct to the local drive, but can't to the mapped drive (ex: R: = \\10.1.1.1\NAS\Record) or directly to the UNC path
The record start and stop every 10s but no .ts file !

Please help

Thank
;)

    Hi nicodep,

You'll probably find that most consumer-level NAS boxes don't support the throughput needed to record tv or buffer live tv. My own NAS (D-Link DNS-323) can't cope as despite a gigabit lan connection, the actual disk write speed is much much lower than that. I decided in the end to shift all of my DVDs, music, videos and other media to the NAS while recording and buffering to the local hard drive.

    Cheers,

    Rob.

rmeredit, i have constant write speed 32 MByte/sec for my 2 year old Synology 209 NAS, so write speed shouldn't be a problem for it.
nicodep, post your log files, perharps in your case NAS write speed IS an issue?

Vasilich that's about 3-4 times faster than the write speeds I get with mine. I must check out the Synology boxes - I've about filled up my current NAS and it's time to start looking for another one!
