Hello
In about 2-3 Weeks i will assemble a HTPC for a friend.
He wants to receive and record DVB-S and view DVDs, the HTPC shouldn't be to loud but doesn't need to be loudless.

The components i choose:

Case: Chieftec HE-01B with built in IMon VFD with volume knob

Mainboard: Asus M3A78 Pro with HD3200 onboard

CPU: AMD X2 4850e

Ram: 2x2GB DDR2-800

HDD: 2,5" Samsung HM250JI 250GB 5400RPM for Windows, Software etc. and Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB for recordings.

PSU: Seasonic S12II-330HB Energy Plus

DVD: Samsung Writemaster 22x

Cooler: Scythe Shuriken with Noiseblocker BlackSilent XE1 Rev. 3.0, 92mm Fan

Fan: Nanoxia Lowflow FX08-1600 as replacement for the standard Casefan

OS: Windows XP Prof. SP3

TV-Card: Terratec Cinergy S2 with CI-Module optional 2nd Cinergy S2 (He wants to keep his Technisat HDD-recorder in the beginning)

My questions:
Can the CI-module be used by both cards or do i need 2 modules?
If i need 2: as i see the module uses the PCI slot only for mounting, no electrical contact, right?
Can the IMon VFD and remote be used with Mediaportal? What will be displayed on the display?

Fans will be regulated with Speedfan.
The HTPC will be used on a 26" LG lcd-tv.

Any suggestions?

Sincerely,
Fabian
