I've been building an HTPC to connect to my Samsung 50" plasma via my Onkyo received over HDMI. Relevant specs are as follows: WD 500GB SATA drive 300W Power supply AMD X2 5600+ 2 GB Dual channel RAM HIS HD2600XT 256 MB HT Omega Striker 7.1 audio card Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H motherboard Windows Vista Home Premium x64 I had a 19" VGA CRT hooked up for installation and the ATI would blank the screen after a while and I couldn't get it to turn back on so I had to run the install with the onboard video controller. Now that it's set up the monitor is no longer connected and the HD2600 is connected directly to the receiver, then to the TV. The main issue I'm having is that if I leave the computer on and turn off the monitor the computer will automatically shut down after maybe 10 minutes. I have looked through all the Windows Vista power settings and changed it to not conserve power but the problem's still there. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this to stop? It's quite irritating if I want to put on some music and shortly afterwards the computer turns off. Thanks for any help!
