G'day,

I live on University residences and unfortunately have to live behind an HTTP Proxy with Authentication to boot. This limits me to tasks done on port 80 only.

Is there any way to configure MP to get through the proxy? This includes authenticating past the proxy.

Any help would be great.

Cheers.

MediaPortal or .NET uses the proxy settings from Internet Explorer. So if you set your proxy in IE then MP will use this.

Unless you are referring to the Web plugin through MP (that works with the Mozilla ActiveX)

That has to be configured independently in order to work

Any specific issues to work through?
My ISP also has mandatory proxy on port 80, so i had similar issues with you, make sure IE has the proxies set for stuff and stuff like IMDB lookup and the like will work...
