Synopsis::

I have just installed the drivers for my new Hauppage HVR-1300 WinTV card with MPEG2 hardware decoding. However, no matter what decoder I choose in the "Television" menu, I cannot get a proper picture. I am using a Composite video source as a test.

The picture is Black & White and is offset.

I have tried using both the MPV & MPA decoders, and also the NVIDIA pure video & audio decoders. I get the same bad picture with both. Also, the NVIDIA audio decoder (which came with the purevideo pack) results in the sound being really sped up. The MPA decoder works, but the MPV decoder results in a picture as described above

I have ONLY installed the drivers for this card. Nothing else. Do I need to install anything else, or have I not configured the card correctly?

The card has a hibryd tuner. You have to add it twice in MP, one time for Analog and one time for Digital. Then you have to scan for chennels. Did the channel scan succed? I had some problems with analog scan but digital scan works perfecty.
Wathever video decoder you use you should be able to see the video.

I havent used the Antenna input as yet, as I dont have reception. Im just adding a CVBS channel and testing the card with a composite input..

Some cards default to other standards not native to your country.
