Hi,
I am a MP user since several months with version 0.1.3. I've just bougth a HVR1300 (with hard encoding capabilities) in order to move to last MP release. Nevertheless, when I install 0.2.0RC3 the card, I do not manage to use my TV card (I use only ANALOG part of this hybrid card). Here are the troubles:
- autosetup find TWO cards, one for the analog and the other one for the digital
- setup autotune crash, except if I previously configure DScaler video decoder. With Dscaler, autotune works fine, and I can see the different channels during setup.
- I map correctly all the channel to this ANALOG card
- When entering to MP TV section, the TV ON button does not work, but I do not have any error message.

Area: Media Portal Program
MediaPortal Version: 0.2.0.0 RC3
MediaPortal Skin: BlueTwo
Windows Version: Windows XP (SP1)
.NET CLR Version: 2.0
DirectX Version: 9.0c
Audio Codec: NVIDIA Purevideo Audio Decoder
Video Codec: NVIDIA Purevideo Video Decoder
CPU Type: AMD Athlon 1400
Memory: 512 MB
Motherboard: KG7 Raid (ABIT)
TV Card Model: Hauppauge HVR1300 (ANALOG PART)
TV Card Type: HYBRID
TV Card Driver: BETA dvb-t 2.5 (idem with hcw21-t.exe)
Video Card Model: GeForce Ti4200 (128 MB)
Video Card Driver: Forceware ???
Video Card Resolution: 800x600
Video Render Type: Default (VMR9?)
Audio Card Model: SBLive!
Audio Card Driver: Windows drivers

I tried different solutions:
- I desactivated the EPG (DVB) as explained in the card comments in WIKI
- I installed last SVN version (yesterday morning 17/04)
- I deleted the DIGITAL card in the setup
- I installed the last beta driver of the TV card
- I will install SP2 for XP...

Please may I have some more help

    Finally, IT WORKS :p

So, I decided to install SP2 with all the updates available on windows update, the last version of Forceware driver... and now it works perfectly!

Neverthess, I need to activate DirectX mode for full screen, otherwise I get some "horizontal lines/artefacts" in full screen (DVD/Video/TV). Is it normal?

Unfortunately i think this is a directx9 thing.
I know you have a good graphics card, but it is not DX9.
Try playing about with a few different video codecs to
get the best one for you.

That is normal, yes. If you do not enable DirectX Exclusive mode, you get this "tearing effect".

    Thanks, for the explanations.
With my hardware the tearing effect seems to be always visible (trying several video codecs) without exclusive DirectX mode, so I enable this mode.
Nevertheless, with HVR 1300, color lines are visibles on the rigth edges (certainly a tuner driver bug). With MP 0.1.3 and Analog blanking of Dscaler codec, I manage to hide these lines. But now with DirectX exclusive mode, the analog blanking does not seem to work any more! Have you got any idea to eliminate this color lines?

Me the télétext does not function.

Of course it does. Just tested it with the analog and the digital part. But this is not the right thread for this, is it? And what is more: such error reports are more than crap. Impossible to give any support with that.
