Hi all - I found some threads realted to this for the ATI card, but none for the Hauppauge. TV-Server finds the analog part of the card, but does not find the ATSC part of the card. If I install Media Portal without the TV Server portion, both tuners are found without a problem.

Any ideas why it is only finding one of two tuners that are on the same card?

TIA,

Steinway

    Steinway,

I just got one of these cards and I have no problems with it finding both the Analog card and the ATSC card. It Finds a ATSC Hauppauge Wintv 418 DBA card and a Analog Hauppauge Wintv 418 tuner card. I also have a 1800 in there also and it finds them both but it uses a 885 chip. I am using the drivers dataed 1/28/2008 with a build of 1.62.26028.0. I am also using one of the latest SVN builds but I don't think anything else has changed. I would download the latest drivers and start with a clean database.

Hi, you didn't give much details. I've having the same problem in Windows 7 RC1 64-bit. I did not have the problem in Vista 32-bit.

I'm using the newest driver that came with Windows 7. The thing is, the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 card is working perfectly in Windows 7 Media Center. I get all the analog channels. all of clearQAM digital channels. Media Center 7 is amazing.

However, I want to get MediaPortal to work because I want to try Xbox integration (using the Xbox as a frontend and MediaPortal for the backend).

I tried using the 4.8+ beta drivers from Hauppauge and after that, MediaPortal would detect both analog and digital parts. However, it would not tune any digital channels. rather, it would very quickly scan them and find nothing.

So now I am back to the Microsoft Hauppauge WHQL included driver because I know 100% that Media Center 7 works perfectly with it. When I was using the 4.8+ driver, it would occasionally say that the tuner was in use when I was trying to pick another channel.

So yes, I do have the luxury of having a perfectly working Media Center 7, but I would like MediaPortal to work.

The irony is the included Hauppauge WinTV will not detect any clearQAM channels either.

If anyone has gotten MediaPortal v1.0.2 to work perfectly with 64-bit Windows 7, please let me know. It'd be very much appreciated.
