    Hi

MediaPortal does not detect any TV servers, however Vista Device Manager detects my TV Card, and Device Manager reports it is funtioning well.

    TV Service running.

Hauppauge Win TV 7 detects card as 2200, and allows scanning of DVB-T and Analogue stations.

In WinTV no DVB-T channels can be found, and yet analogue stations tune, find and watch no problem (except they are analogue).

Another funny thing...I have Cyberlink PowerDVD9 Ultra, and i have the correct cl264dec.ax file in C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD9\VideoFilter, and i have regsvr32'd to assign codec, yet doesn't show up in H264 codecs, so i have installed ffdshow, and that shows up.

The 2 issues are probably unrelated.

Oh, i have perfect DVB-T reception all the time. That was the first thing i checked.

Feels like me card is stuffed, but Analogue part of card should show up in MP, as it shows up in WinTV.

I have also tried MP 1.0.0.0 with the same issue.

    Any suggestions?

    :D

    Cheers.

I have the exact same problem. In the TV Server config, there are no TV Servers and my HVR-2200 is not detected.

I have tried reinstalling both MediaPortal and SQL Server numerous times and even tried using MySQL instead. Nothing works.

I am looking forward to a solution.

i think its the hauppauge driver

still playing around, but i reckon going back to driver 7.3.0.26198 is looking good.

Vista tries to update, so you will need to stop it doing this. Also use app in WinTV7 download to uninstall all Hauppauge apps and drivers before reinstalling old driver.

Get the old driver from the hauppauge.co.uk site. Download WinTV7, extract and its in a folder called drivers.

If anyone tries this, would you be kind enought to reply with your results.

Hi, I am having exact same problem.

Using Vista, HVR 2200, MP 1.0.1, latest drivers. The system definitely sees the card as does WinTV but its a no go in MP. Tried a couple of restarts for good luck and a couple of reinstalls but cant seem to get it going.

i think its MP 1.0.1.0, as 1.0.0.0 works well

    Here is what i have tried;

    1. I put in my old HDD with old driver 26198, 1.0.0 MP and DVD8 and its works, so not my card!
    2. I then put my new raid 0 pair back in, and rebuit Vista, and stops updates except for .net, and installed old 26198 driver & MP 1.0.1.0. No Go - does not see card.
    3. I uninstalled MP & DVD8, and installed WinTV / PowerCinema 5 as suggestd by Hauppauge support, and it worked! Damn DVB-T looks fine.
    4. i will image HDD and try lots of things to see what helps and report back.

It feels like some kind of driver conflict with 1.0.1.0.

Will try over the next few hours to find cause.

OK, so the problem is 1.0.1.0.

I went back to 1.0.0.0 RC4 (couldn't find a copy of final release) and it worked.

In summary, there is a problem with the Hauppauge TV Card HVR2200 and Mediaportal 1.0.1.0.

The TV Card doesn't show up in Mediaportal, but will work with the Hauppauge supplied WinTV.

I am a newbie, and will try and log a bug with the dev team.

This is very interesting news. Very annoying also.

1.0.1 has been riddled with bugs since release. I could not even install it till recently and now I can't even watch TV with it.

    I hope 1.0.2 fixes this.

    1.0.0.0 works

    1.0.0.0 works with hvr2200 - 1.0.1.0 doesn't.

    Simple, annoying, 1.0.2.0 hopefully fix.

    don't do fresh install

My mate at work suggests getting 1.0.0.0 going and doing an upgrade, rather than clean install.

    Will try tonight.
