I had it working fine, and then... (1 Viewer)

Everything was working fine when i first installed yesterday. I was trying to back out of a video i was playing when the skin turned black. I could still see the video running. I could not turn Mediaportal off. I had to do a soft boot to get back into windows. I have uninstalled, deleted folders, and tried a clean install to a different drive using the update patch, and now all i can get is a half Mediaportal window where i see file, configuration and wizards, but I cannot use MP at all now. What did i do, and why can't i fix it with unistalls and reinstalls to a different drive?
