If the ID3 artist tag in a MP3 has a foward slash (/) the embedded cover art in the MP3 is not displayed.

For example see the jpg attached.

The / is rendered on the screen as a | but the coverart is absent.
This occurs in all views (list, icons, big icons, filmstrip).

AW: ID3 tag Cover Art not displayed when ID3 has a "/" in Artist Name tag.

maybe, thats a little bit offtopic. but i have the same issue with in my big music database.
the most of my personal 'Genre' have the letter '/' build in. see:

this is something I've noticed a long time ago. MePo shows me only the last or the first word on.
so unfortunately I can not use the view 'Genre'. what is important to me.

    what can i do?

  • About The Project

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

  • Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.
