Ideas for iPiMP on the iPad (1 Viewer)

Hi cheezey,

First: Thanks for the great plugin, I really like the look on peoples faces when controlling MP with my Phone.

Since this christmas (ehm, we received the package a little early and could not resist opening it) we are proud owners of an iPad. Now I would really like using the added space in iPiMP, especially on selecting music (I use iPiMP mostly for music control, with no need of a turned on tv).

I was thinking of using the ImageFlow javascript (see ImageFlow - Finn Rudolph) to add a coverflow view to a special iPad / Browser page. Would this be something you would like to incorporate in iPiMP or would this produce a fork?

Or are you thinking along other lines for next versions?

I'd absolutely include it in iPiMP. Please feel free to contribute! There was also a request for a larger remote control page e.g. have all 3 remote control pages displayed as one on the iPad (or any device with a larger viewport).

Hi!

I just wanted to tease you a little about the work I am doing on the idea of bringing a cover flow interface to iPiMP for iPads and others (at the moment working with a normal desktop browser, so that should work as well).

At the moment the data is not yet coming from MP, it is just plain html & javascript at work. But I can use the top row of letters to switch between different lists of pics below, which are loaded asynchronously from the server. I still have to find out what kind of image url I can use within iPiMP to get at cover / artist thumbs from each client, but I will get there eventually.

So what do you think?
