    - I start some movie;
    - press ESC - the movie comes to background;
    - select and start another movie;
    - in some cases (ref. 1st logs) I can see blank screen - then nothing happens and the only
    thing I can do is to exit from Portal by pressing Alt-F4;
    - in other cases (ref. 2nd logs) the currently played movie stops but the selected movie
    does not start;
    - once the selected movie started - but it occurred once and I could not reproduce it.

    2 logs are attached.

    Hi Rivera,

    I'm on Win7 and i try to reproduce it, and all worked correctly, i didn't have this issue :

    I have try with
    1- .m2ts
    2- .mkv

    May be it's an issue on XP ?

    Cheers,
    Seb.

    I have the same issue and also use WinXP. I didn't think it was a big deal so I did not create a bug report but I can confirm the issue is happening here as well.

    As a workaround I always press stop button before starting the next video file. MP has never hanged here though, the next video just doesn't start and I have to start it again.

    Hi, Seb.
    I think that it's a renderer's issue.
    On WinXP it is VMR9, on Win7 it is EVR.
    May be you will be able to reproduce it if select VMR9 in Configuration.

    BTW, it worked properly on 1.1.Beta.

    I tried to select EVR in Configuration.
    IF start any movie - nothing happens:
    - the screen get black - seems that the player is attempting to start playback
    - then it returns to BasicHome (no playback)

    Can you run filmerit and see if it shows any errors (link in sig)
    I ran it, no errors found...

    It happens also if:
    - start watching TV
    - press ESC, go to Home
    - next go to MyVideo
    - start movie
    - TV stops
    - no video
    - again start video - now it starts

    If you have Dynamic Refresh Rate active disable it and try without it.

    See if this helps.

    Can not confrim that issue using W7 64bit.
    "Sadly" the entire team is using W7 now - so I am not sure if anyone will be abel to reproduce this issue.

    You do use the latest drivers available for your gfx-card?
    Did you test with using MPC-MPV and MPC-MPA as audio and video codecs in both Television and Movies?
