MediaPortal Version: 2.0.0
Windows Version: XP SP2
CPU Type: AMD 64X2 3800+ AM2
Memory: 1Gb
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA55SLI
Video Card: XFX 32MB 6200TC
Sound Card: Onboard AC97
1. TV Card: ATI HDTV Wonder
1. TV Card Type: PCI
1. TV Card Driver: Latest
CableTV Provider: Cablevision

I have the ATI Wonder HDTV card but cannot seem to get anything to work. I couldn't load the drivers off the CD but was able to load them from the ATI website. I have not loaded the decoder because it appears that gets installed by MediaPortal. Everything seems fine yet when scanning for Antenna or Cable stations nothing at all gets picked up. I'm sure I've done something stupid but just can't figure it out. XFX 6200TC 32MB video card. Any help would be appreciated.

Ummmm - appreciate the rebuke, but...did search and I didn't find anything applicable including that thread. It appeared that problem was that MediaPortal was able to find the channels, just not display them, it will not pick anything up on my setup. Apologies if there is something in there I'm missing. I'm going back to a fresh image, reinstalling everything and letting the channel search go forth even though it doesn't seem to be finding anything. I did notice a message about the analogue tuner not being able to be graphed...

I have this card, and had a bit of an issue with it. I had to install the drivers from the CD v9.13 and then update to v9.14. I rebuilt my HTPC a bit ago and had some problems when I tried to go to the newest version, so I'm sticking with 9.14. Also, there is some info at:

http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Supported_TVCard_Hybride/ATIHDTVWonder

that you can try. Check out:

http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/hdtvwonderprevious-xp.html

for the different versions. I've never gotten analog working in MediaPortal, but I get pretty much the same channels in analog as ATSC so I don't really care.

Are you able to use the ATI program to watch TV? When I installed 9.15 the first time I was unable to even get their program working.

Good luck.

Sorry, I assumed that if you had read those threads, that you would have posted for help in that thread.

You know what they say about when you assume things (ass-u-me).

I can't help any more than what's in those threads.

Thanx Foxy and Paul. Paul that's cool - and I was struggling with where to put the thread. Foxy - I've not been able to even get the ati supplied media center working until just now. Don't know for sure what did it but maybe it was using 9.13. Before I was getting an error when trying to bring up the tv app, but now, even though it looked like the scan wasn't working, there is analog TV through that app. Picture's not very good but it's there!! Looks like the scan for MediaPortal is working now as well, thanks so much. Not sure I'll get a picture as I don't see anything in the preview (which I assume the black box is) but if not I can start looking at the type of threads Paul pointed me to where the video is a problem.

Oh boy - got all the channels and got a configuration error when scanning for radio, why I just didn't get out I don't know. I'll take an aimage of what I have then go back to a previous one to try and figure out the minimal install necessary to get this to work. Thanx gain all.
