I have a few .iso's on my dedicated "films" HDD. These have been picked up by MovingPictures and as such just download all the relevant Fanart, Posters and details. These readily load up by Daemon Tools.
When I have recorded a film from TV, I set it in the TVServer to record in the format "Filmname".ts and then I just remove these from the recorded folder and paste them into the "films" HDD and MovingPictures just picks them up automatically. Sometime confusion can occur, such as when a remake is done... a particular one was "The Italian Job" - I had to go into the MovingPictures import section to make sure it pulled the correct info based on year. MovingPictures kept pulling the remake details, and not the original (should never have been remade IMO
) but usually that is all I do.
My TVSeries involves a bit more work, but this is mainly because we don't seem to get the Series or Episode info broadcast consistently.
