    Hi guys,

I have installed MP1.2 on this hardware for a friend - had 1.1 before.
There is, in some files, a problem with sound not being synchronous with the image. It seems that the image slows down.
Prior to installing 1.2, I installed the latest DirectX that was required.
Since it's a multifunction system which also has a virusscanner, I disabled the guard but no difference at all.
In some files, there is also stuttering.

Any idea what might be wrong or where to look at?
    Thanks in advance!
    Peter

I almost think this is a performance issue? Looks like pretty old hardware to me. Videos do work in other players?

Hi guys, thanks for looking into this.

what codecs have you configured in MP? does it haappen for Tv or Videos?
I forgot to mention that I installed SAF6 and configured it as in the example.
Only tried with videos and it seems like .ts files are worse then converted ones.

@Holzi: what do you mean by 'in other players'?

For example in Windows Media Player or KMPlayer or VLC. =)
Are there also this issues with sound synchronisation?

Ok, just tried with VLC and WMP11 and no problem there.
    Here are the logs...

Regarding performance: I have a celeron 2.8 and a P4M 1.7 which both run quite well with MP 1.2 so I doubt very much it's because of that.

Any idea? Did I choose a bad title?
Can someone please confirm that this is not a performance issue?
Would a clean install of MP make any difference?

I see you tried to play a .mpg (topgear). Did you try other movies, ie DivX/Xvid, .mkv etc? Not sure, but graph seemsstrange (although I'm harly an expert),

Hi Spragleknas, thank you for looking into this.
What do you mean by 'graph seems strange' and do you have any suggestions?

If I backup the settings, install MP from scratch and restore the settings, could that put the problem back?

    TIA!
    P.
