:D:sorry::oops: A little bit of plain old "working things out for yourself" goes a long way :sorry::D

Hi there, wondering if you can help....

I have 583 different movie files stored in one directory, that i have built up over the past few months, gradually adding them to the basic "My Videos" in MediPortal. I have spent hours and hours, downloading info and art, custom naming files once added to the database etc etc and so on.

Is there a way i can just import all that info straight from my existing movie database, rather than re-scanning every file?? i have my own system of naming movies and really don't want to have to re-name most of them just because the dont match imdb!

Thanks heaps in advance.

Phil.

It might help out another user, with the same question, to know what you did.

Saying "working things out for yourself", might irritate them, if they searched this forum on "import myvideos", and they see the 'Fixed' icon on your thread, so they click it thinking they will see an answer.

Don't feel emberassed if your solution ended up to be a slap to the forehead simple way, we've all been there :D

You might have placed the "MyVideos (Local)" scraper to the top position, so that it would auto-approve all your movies based on the existing information already in the MediaPortal MyVideos database, but even if you went another way, it can still help somebody else as well.
