[no Bug] In some movie the AC3 5.1 track is not played after DolbyTrueHD track (2 Viewers)

I checked "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" movie

Same behaviour is with all my mkv-files containing both TrueHD & AC3 tracks.

So, there are:
- two AC3 5.1 tracks
- one Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track
- one DTS-HD MA 5.1 track

In MPC-HC it is played perfectly.
In MediaPortal I cannot get AC3 5.1 tracks sometimes.

Let's consider 3 scenarios:
1) Case #1:
- start movie
- select any track (except Dolby TrueHD)
- next select any AC3 5.1 track - it is played OK

2) Case #2:
- start movie
- select Dolby TrueHD track
- next select any AC3 5.1 track - it is NOT played (means NO SOUND)
Logs for this case are attached.

3) Case #3:
- start movie
- select any AC3 5.1 track
- next select Dolby TrueHD track
- next select any AC3 5.1 track - it is NOT played
Logs for this case are attached.

In cases ## 2, 3 (but not logged): if next I select again Dolby TrueHD track (i.e. after failed choice of AC3) - this TrueHD track is played OK. AC3 track will be played only after restart of the movie's playback.

Seems that AC3 5.1 cannot be played after DolbyTrueHD.

After each change of audiotrack I also checked info from Haali Splitter; below is an example (click to expand):

So, adiotrack is REALLY switched 'cause it was seen in Haali's context menu.

I've had the same problem... which seems to be a Haali Problem...
But I can't be sure on that.

After I've deinstalled haali and switched to the MPC-HC Matroska Splitte Audio Switching with HD Tracks seems much more reliable!
But it still needs some finetuning imho...

Seems that I solved the problem:

1. Download MPC standalone filters:
????????? ? ????????? | standalone_filters-svn1788_x86 - XvidVideo.RU
it is revision 1788; better to use the latest revision.

2. Unpack the downloaded archive to some folder.

3. Register MPC-HC audio filter:
regsvr32 MpaDecFilter.ax

4. Select this filter in MediaPortal Configuration.

Actually, I did it with RC2.
I am not sure that this can help on RC1.

Ok ... you are using MPC-HC Codec as Audio Filter... But does Bitstreaming work this way?
I thought only ffdshow will pass-through it correctly...

I suspect that ffdshow was broken in last revisions....
I am using the freshest version, earlier ffdshow worked fine with DolbyTrueHD

I cannot check bitstreaming in full scope -I do not have a reciever.

BTW, I forgot to mention one important thing.
There is no need to register MpaDecFilter.
You should just copy it in to MediaPortal directory.
Of course, you can backup previous MpaDecFilter.ax already present in the dir.
