I have found a few codec packs that will automatically uninstall the gabest codecs when they are found. The trouble with that is that the gabest mpc audio codec is my preference. It will downscale dts or dd5.1 to 2 channel without stutter unlike ac3filter and ffdshow.
The problem is that a re-install of the app is required to get it back. Ithought maybe a simple either inclusion of the gabest files in a separate folder for re-registration manually or even a separate exe could be included with the mediaportal distributions to allow re-installation/registration of those codecs.
