Sometimes programmes overrun and it's obvious that the recording will end before the programme is actually finished.

Would be good if there was an option to 'bump' on an extra 5/10/15 minutes to a current recording

    Hi KevinM,

Can't you just use the "Start recording x mins before..." and "Stop recordings x mins after..."? I guess it will waste some disc space to make these numbers large but it is so frustrating when you miss the last 5 mins of your favourite show... I've got them set to 5 and 15 mins.

    /Peter

Yes - I do this. In fact I found out that you can change the value for an ongoing recording by looking at its properties in the 'Scheduled Area'. Just wondered if it would be a bit more intuitive if there was an additional option for ongoing recordings when you select 'more info' in the Guide section.

Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Ok, have a good vacation in Egypt :) Me might have to tell @high to turn off the automated flag for privacy reasons. Also everybody could see I was in netherlands. I think the flag should be related to the country entered and shown ;)

Many thanks for the answer. So far I've used Logitech's Harmony hub. This allows you to control all components (including the media portal). I have now contacted the Sofabaton hotline. It should also work here like with the Harmony. Unfortunately, not all of the IR codes are correct. You can also learn commands here. But that doesn't...
