Hi,

Is it possible to increase the video buffer size?

My video playback sometimes pauses for a few seconds (with the audio still playing), and I thought, that I had a video codec issue. After trying to fix it both by reversing to older versions of the video drivers and codecs and by using the latest versions, the issue persisted.
I finally figured out that the problem is with my NAS, where my videos are stored. Sometimes it will be to busy to keep up. This is caused by a new firmware.
(Note to self: Remember to check the simplest things first.)

I'm hoping this could be fixed by increasing the buffering...

BR, Thomas Fogh

EDIT: I'm using SAF5.0

Not possible since MP doesn't provide the actual source filter(s). If I remember correctly haali spliitter has some buffer setting.

you could try an increase the RX and TX buffersizes on both ends (if possible on the nas) ..
(network adapter advanced settings).. otherwise i dont see any other options...

    Thanks for the replies!
It does seem to be a codec (or player) problem after all... :(
If I play the videos (.mkv) in Windows Media Player, there's no stuttering, only in MediaPortal and GraphStudio.

    Any suggestions?
